The Made-To-Be is a powerful visual narrative about the nature of marriage—not just its beauty, but also its weight, structure, fragility, and complexity. The piece uses an otherworldly plant as a metaphor, where the bloom represents idealized unity, and the roots/stippled areas reflect discomfort, dysfunction, and even divorce.

The chain in the middle symbolizes the couple—bound together—while external chains pulling in represent societal, family, and emotional pressures. The entire composition exists in a suspended world, suggesting that the concept of "forever" is often both constructed and challenged
