The Made To Be

Size: 43 x 30 in
Year: 2014 | Media: Colored Pencil & Stipple
The Made To Be explores destiny and identity through layered stippled imagery. What first appears as a vibrant surface gradually reveals hidden transitions—morphing shapes that speak to the idea that we are not simply born but shaped, “made to be,” through experiences and choices. This large-format original captures my early pursuit of weaving fine detail into vast, symbolic landscapes.

The Confusion
Size: 21 x 31 in
Year: 2014 | Media: Ink & Colored Pencil
The Confusion tells a bittersweet story of unrequited love and loss. At first glance, the image feels paradisiacal, but closer inspection reveals crumbling bricks and shifting forms. When inverted, the twin towers of the World Trade Center emerge — a hidden layer memorializing tragedy and confusion. Exhibited at the Smithsonian and galleries across the United States, this work has become one of my most recognized early originals.

The Lost Lives
(Atlantis Series)
Size: 15 x 39 in
Year: 2014 | Media: Colored Pencil
Part of The Lives Series, The Lost Lives reflects on the myth of Atlantis—a thriving city erased from history, leaving behind only fragments and mystery. Through its elongated format and flowing stippled textures, the piece becomes a meditation on memory, disappearance, and the permanence of myth.
