Make Your Own Compost by Using Automated Compost Bin
My grandmother loves gardening so much. If I come to her house on the village during the summer holiday, I will find a garden full of roses, magnolias, daffodils, hydrangeas, and also lavenders. She makes them grow beautifully and fertile by using handmade compost. There is a composter at the backyard behind her house that is managed by herself with the traditional method. However, since last winter, she had to move to our home because of healthy reason. My family lives on an apartment on the fourth floor, as a result, my grandmother cannot wish for a piece of land to plant something neither a spot to make her handmade compost.
My husband and I was trying to find a new activity for her killing the time, when one of our friends came and introduce us with this amazing tool. Yes, instead of having an outdoor composter, now you can have an automated compost bin that can be placed next to the sink in your kitchen.
How does this compost bin work? Well, when you’re having your meal and cannot finish them until the last bite, you can toss the leftovers into the bin. What kind of food scraps you can put in? Almost everything on your plate; start from meat, fish to dairy products. For fruits and vegetables, you can also throw the peeling skins and the vegetables’ leftovers into it.
Next, the compost bin will process the organic garbage for few days to produce a sort of compost then. And voila! There’s no awful odor and flies, and animals will not annoy your bin anymore. Now, my grandmother can continue her gardening activity that she loves very much. It’s so amazing to experience the process of our food: from soil, to our plate, and then back to the soil again!
Work at Home Tips – Automating Some Portion of Your Home Based Internet Business
Owning your own successful home based internet business is a dream come true for many of us. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t know the cost of running such a business in terms of time. Between creating and maintaining your web site, finding a good products, promoting the site, and customer service, you could end up working more than a full time job. Although there are certain jobs that must be handled your self, there are often more tasks that can be automated with autoresponders or even outsourced. Below is some work at home tips to help leverage your time.
Minimizing Customer Support Requests
One of the most time consuming aspects of operating a business is customer support – especially if you’re selling software. A lot of times, you will see yourself answering the same questions over and over again, which is something that can be partially automated.
A good way to cut down on a lot of your support requests is to set up an online assistance desk with a knowledge base on your site. A help desk will allow your clients to visit your site directly and go through a series of questions and answers that will try to resolve their issues without any human intervention. However, if they can’t find a solution, they can then submit a support ticket for further assistance. You can find good online help desk software at Kayako. If you get a lot of support requests, this will definitely be a great alternative for you.
Automating with Autoresponders (Tireless Salesman)
Autoresponder which some people refer to as a “tireless salesman” can be setup on your own server, but most people discovered that it is much easier to sign up for an autoresponder service, such as Aweber, or Get Response. Either way, there are many tasks that can be handled with an autoresponder.
Writing articles for your home based internet business and utilizing an autoresponder can provide a good way to get your messages across to your prospect inbox automatically. You can create a special links on your site for your prospect to request for your articles.
Autoresponders can also allow you to provide your prospect with your advertising rates, such as web site or ezine advertising. By enabling people to request this information via autoresponder, you won’t have to manually send it to them yourself.
You can also make use of an autoresponder to automate your digital product delivery. Instead of refering your clients to a ‘thank you’ or ‘download’ page, redirect them to a page where they can put in their name and email address into your autoresponder form. Upon submitting their detail, your autoresponder will automatically forward them the requested download instructions.
If the work at home tips above is properly implemented, your automated home based internet business can be generating a steady flow of income even while you sleep. For further information on how to start your own home based internet business please visit my resource link below.

Build a Dream Career in Architecture

In India, the construction and real estate is seeing a positive boom. The focus has shifted from just basic functionality to aesthetics, comfort, luxury and style. Hence, the demand for good architects is also on the rise. Architecture involves planning and designing of building and structures. A good architect can create marvels that remain as a testimony to his talent for ages. Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, pyramids of Egypt, Hotel Burj Al Arab, and many more like these are masterpieces of ancient and modern architecture. Today, architects need to blend their vision and dreams with materials to come up with structures that are high quality, with good functionality and environmentally friendly too.
Architects are required to design a variety of structures such as houses, apartments and colonies, shopping and commercial complexes, offices and industrial complexes, hospitals, hotels, airport terminals, schools etc. They are also required if a building has to be renovated or repaired. Thus, the demand for architects will never dwindle.
All those who are looking to make a career in this field have a few things to keep in mind. Ideally, students good at physics and mathematics are better suited to study architecture. To become an architect, one should have creativity with an interest towards designing. It is beneficial if one can also sketch and draw with a free hand. One should be socially and environmentally aware apart from being technically and mathematically sound to become a good architect. Of course, good communication skills, physical ability to work on the site, high concentration level, flexibility, patience, team spirit, responsibility and accountability can take one a long way in this field.
There are good training courses in architecture offered by institutes across India. To apply for a course, one should have completed higher secondary education with physics, chemistry, mechanical/ engineering drawing and mathematics, with a minimum of 60 percent marks. Most of the schools conduct entrance tests through national and state level entrance examinations. For entry to undergraduate programmes in government and private institutes, national level entrance examination is conducted by the Council of Architecture. However, there are separate state level tests too, such as one conducted by Tamil Nadu. Indian Institutes of Technology also offer architecture programmes. Entrance to these programmes is through the Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) held in May each year. Other than theses, one has to appear for an aptitude test to ensure admission.
The degree course B.Arch is a 5 year course. After the graduate course, one can also study architecture at the post graduate course which varies from 18 months to 2 years.
There are various good institutes that offer courses in architecture. School of Planning & Architecture in New Delhi offers two Undergraduate Programmes leading to Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Planning. The Bachelor of Architecture is a five-year programme. The school also offers the Master’s and Doctoral Programmes in Architecture. SPA offers a 4-year programme in Bachelor of Planning.
Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) is another good institute. The college conducts a five year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) The admission is made on the basis of the Common Entrance Test (CET) and Architecture Aptitude Test conducted by the Punjab University.
Based in Mumbai, the Sir J J School of Art conducts a 5-year course in Bachelor Of Architecture (B Arch). and a 3-year Master Of Architecture Degree. The institute also offers short term courses in computer education relevant to architecture after college hours.
Apart from these, there are other good schools like School of Architecture CEPT, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad; Lucknow University, Govt. College of Architecture; Goa University, College of Architecture; Indian Education Society’s College of Architecture, Mumbai; Pune University, Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Architecture; Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, School of Planning & Architecture, Hyderabad; Kerala University, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthpuram; Anna University, School of Architecture & Planning., Chennai; IPS Academy, School of Architecture, Indore; Bengal Engineering College, West Bengal; Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Gurgaon; Vastu Kala Academy, School of Architecture & Interior Designing, New Delhi.
Some architects go in for specialization in India and abroad. The fiels of specialization could be urban designing, regional planning, building engineering and management, architectural conservation, industrial design, landscape arhitecture, naval architecture, architecture concerning traffic and transport planning etc.
There are a lot of avenues to choose from for architects. There are opportunities available in government as well as private sectors. The government organisations include Public Works Department, the Archaeological Department, Ministry of Defence, Departments of Railways, Post and Telegraphs, Public Sector Undertakings, National Building Organisation, Town and Country Planning Organisation, National Institute of Urban Affairs, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, National Building Construction Corporation Ltd., City Development Authorities etc. One can also go or private practice and start own firm and become a successful architect. How to Buy Thrift-shop Sold Chandeliers
In our modern times, chandeliers are becoming a common thing in people’s homes. Almost every place in a well-off person’s house has some form of chandeliers or a chandelier-looking piece. Nonetheless, chandeliers are being used by people to add a sense of spark and elegance to a room.
Chandeliers are known for their ability to invoke a sense of grandeur and elegance, especially antique chandeliers which are unrivaled in conveying an aura of antiquity. People who want to try and recreate a turn-of-the century feel to their room would benefit most from purchasing chandeliers that have an old look to them, which can only be achieved if a piece is actually made a few years back. Replicating this type of chandelier is difficult to do since there is no substitute for the actual thing.
If you are one of those people who are unlucky enough to not inherit an old chandelier that is handed down to you through generations, then the place for you to find your antique-looking, if not truly antique, chandelier would be in thrift-shops that sell such pieces of furniture. If not, then you will have to settle for buying a ready-made piece, and you will have to try and give it an old look to it to achieve your desired effect of an antique chandelier.
Buying thrift-shop sold chandeliers can be a very rewarding experience. You may even be able to find certain chandelier pieces that are much better compared to those factory-manufactured chandeliers that lack the old look that most antique chandeliers possess.
When buying in thrift-shops, try to avoid those chandeliers that are slim and polished since these types of chandeliers have a modern look to them, and will not pass of as antique-looking. Keep in mind that antique chandeliers are never shiny. You should try to look for antique chandeliers that have elaborate and intricate aesthetic designs or carvings on them, this helps make them ornate lighting pieces. Antique chandeliers are mostly made up of crystal, bronze and brass with an aged look.
Some antique chandeliers that you may find in thrift-shops are candle chandeliers, which are much more appropriate in creating that archaic, old look. Antique chandeliers, especially those that are very old, are gas, kerosene, or electric, so be sure to check for those.
Just be aware that some antique chandelier dealers in thrift-shops may be selling you with cheap and fraudulent chandeliers, so it is best that you get as much information about antique chandeliers as you can so you can protect yourself from getting duped into making a poor purchase. Make sure that the antique chandelier dealers that you buy from have the necessary knowledge and information about chandeliers to help you make the best purchase.
Thrift-shops can offer some of the best finds in chandeliers, especially if you are looking for those that have an antique look to them. Just keep in mind that quality antique chandeliers need not be expensive, all you need to do is look for them in the right places.
